All company imports will require a TCC no matter the value or quantity.
It is not required for all, however shipments can be held by local authority in United Arab Emirates after screening due to lack of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) or NON DG (Dangerous Goods) declaration letter from the shipper resulting to misconnections and impacting end-to-end service.
It would be advisable for all shipments originating, transiting and terminating for UAE to have MSDS or NON DG declaration from shipper enclosed in the shipment and copies to be uploaded in IDIS.
Restrictions may apply for freight collect shipments from the origin country or territory. Contact UPS or the UPS service partner in the origin country or territory prior to shipping.
Jamaica does not accept deliveries to prisons or remand centers (holding cells for prisoners).
There are special stipulations on the following commodities when shipping to Jamaica. If you plan to ship one of the commodities listed below, be sure to adhere to the following stipulations in order to avoid delays and holds at customs.
Computer-generated invoices will no longer be accepted. Worldship invoices are also not accepted. Only invoices on company letterhead or the original invoice will be accepted. All other types of invoices will cause the shipment to be held.
Shipments from a company must have the shipper's invoice.
Shipments from an individual containing newly purchased items must have the shipper's invoice or original invoice.
The consignee's phone number, if available, should appear on the invoice.
Non-documents being imported into Jamaica must be accompanied by a fully descriptive commercial invoice. When items in certain categories arrive into the island (for example, pharmaceuticals, supplements, etc.), they should not be described as such on the invoice. Instead, the specific product names need to be listed so Customs processing and clearance can be seamless. This requirement is particularly important for pharmaceuticals, vitamins and other such products that could require an import permit from the Ministry of Health in Jamaica.
The destination country or territory considers the following items document shipments. If criteria are listed, the shipment must meet those criteria to be considered a document shipment.
