Import Restrictions
An import licence is required for many goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit. Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:
alcohol and spirits
animals and animal products/skins
coffee and coffee samples
cologne and perfume
communication equipment
cotton seeds
foodstuffs (prepared)
grain samples
pharmaceutical products
plants and plant products
plastic and rubber products
textile samples
seeds
shoes
tea
telecommunication equipment
tobacco
wood and wood products.
Prohibited Items
In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:
antiques
asbestos
articles of glass, stone, plaster and cement
cereal
fertilizers
gambling devices
ivory
log and timber products from Liberia
lottery tickets and advertising
mineral products
pharmaceutical products
pearls, precious stones and metals
prohibitions prejudicial to political, social and moral order
subversive material.
tea, coffee and spices
vegetables, fruits and nuts
wood and article of wood.
